Following are the steps to resolve less secure app access not showing for certain applications:

Step 1: First of all, open the Google account help section on your device

Step 2: Now tap on your account and go to the manage settings for this account

Step 3: Afterward, open the security tab from the left-hand side panel on your screen

Step 4: On this panel, scroll to the top of the screen to find signing into Google with 2 different options

Step 5: Here you will find 2 step verification option. tap on this option to open the next window

Step 6: Carefully read the Message displayed on the screen, and hand tap on the get started button available at the end of this message.

Step 7: In case you are using your phone for this purpose, a prompt message asking you that you are using your phone to sign in and if you are sure to proceed will appear on your screen. Tap on okay on this prompt message.

Step 8: Next, you will have to sign in to your account with an accurate user ID and password.

Step 9: Now the screen will ask you if you wish to choose a phone for the second step of signing along with the model you are using. Tap on okay

Step 10: You will now be at a page where Google asks you to add a backup option. This page will contain your phone number and will ask you Through which Idiom you would like to get the code that is via text message or a phone call.

Step 11: Tap on send option to get a code on your chosen contact number

Step 12: Once you get the code on your mobile number, insert the code here and tap on turn on to complete the process of turning 2-step verification on.

Step 13: Now Go back to the manage account tab and tap on the security option

Step 14: Once the security option opens, Look for the app passwords option

Step 15: Tap on the app password option to open the next window

Step 16: You will need to sign in to your Google account again by inserting your credentials and password

Step 17: In the next window, Google will ask you to select the application and the device on which you wish to operate them

Step 18: Once you select a certain application, tap on continue

Step 19: After this, Google will generate a specific and exclusive password for this application. Simply copy this password and keep it in a safe location in the form of text

Step 20: Now, whenever you try to access your Google account with the help of a 3rd party application, you will have to insert the same password to allow it to access your account

 This way, you can use your Gmail account for any of the 3rd party applications or software without harming your device or data security.

Google Blocked A Less Secure App From Accessing Your Account

Google blocked a less secure app from accessing your account because, as per the latest guidelines of Google, it restricts using 3rd party applications or less secure applications to access your Gmail account or any of the Google data.

This protocol was formed to ensure the data security of the user and ensure that only legitimate applications have access to your data.

 In case Google has blocked any application you just downloaded or has restricted the access for this application, this is because Google does not trust the source of this application and hence will not allow the application to access your data without additional verification or application password generated by Google itself.

You cannot turn on less secure app access on your Google account now.
