PhonePe has its headquarter based in Bangalore. It is an Indian digital payments and financial services business. In December of 2015, PhonePe was established. Based on the Unified Payments Interface (UPI). PhonePe is accessible in more than 11 Indian languages.

Steps to Request Money on PhonePe:
Step 1: Open the PhonePe application, and then on the first page left-hand side, click on “To Bank/ UPI ID“.
Step 2: Next page will appear, and then click on the right top option “UPI ID” Click on “ADD UPI ID“.
Step 3: A next page will appear where you have to add beneficiary UPI ID.
Step 4: You can add any UPI address of a person regardless of the application they use.
Step 5: After adding the name of the person and that particular person returned on successful verification of the UPI ID.
Step 6: Now, you can see two options on the screen. On the left, “send” and on the right “request“.
Step 7: Now, you can request money on the PhonePe application, which will be visible to you on the screen.
Initially, the request option was available on the first screen, but due to many fraud requests, there is no more request option. The new update has some specific asking for UPI IDs of friends, which will assure less fraud comparatively.
PhonePe’s Switching platform also enables customers to book Ola rides, pay for bus tickets, and book easy flights and hotels. PhonePe is being used as a payment method at approximately 17.5 million offline and online merchant outlets in India, including food, transportation, consumables, medications, and cinema tickets, among other things.
