How to Port Forward Your Router for Palworld Servers

Palworld is an upcoming action-adventure survival game that has already gained immense popularity, dominating the Twitch and Steam charts within its first day of release.

To host a multiplayer server for Palworld, you’ll need to port forward your router.

This process involves opening specific ports in your router’s settings to allow external connections to your server.

By following this guide, you’ll be able to set up your own Palworld server and embark on thrilling adventures with your friends.

How To Port Forward Your Router For Palworld Servers

To port forward your router for Palworld servers, follow these steps:

  1. Retrieve your router IP by pressing the Windows key on your keyboard, opening the Command Prompt, typing “ipconfig,” and looking for the Default Gateway under your Wireless LAN adapter.
  2. Open a web browser, enter the router IP address in the search bar, and log in to your router using the password found on the router or in the manual.
  3. Navigate to the Port Forwarding section in your router settings.
  4. In the Port Forwarding section, forward the default Palworld port to a port on your device. Name the port forward service and set the service type or protocol to TCP/UDP. Enter the port number or range under Original Port or Starting Port based on your platform. Specify your device’s IP address. For the default port, enter 8211. Set the Schedule to Always. Add the port forward rule to your router and save the changes.
  5. Launch Palworld and host your server. Share the invite code with friends, allowing them to connect to your IP address and join the server.

Note that before forwarding a port, you need to know your router’s IP address, your device’s IP address, and each of the TCP and UDP ports that you need to forward.
