If you are seeing the Error Code PRS-PGCSEFC-01 then that means you are trying to redeem a PlasyStore Gift card that was not bought in the country where you are currently in.
According to Google Policies, you can only redeem a Gift Card when you bought it from there same country where you are currently staying.
For example, if you are in Belgium right now and you bought a Play Store Gift Card when you visited the UK, then you will be seeing the Error Code PRS-PGCSEFC-01 while trying to redeem it.
If you are in the same country but still seeing the error then it can be a technical issue such as a bug or a glitch in the system of Google PlayStore.

How To Fix Error Code PRS-PGCSEFC-01?

1. Use A VPN With Your Device
As we have said previously, the gift card has to be redeemed from the same country where it was purchased so if you purchased a Google PlasyStore gift card from Germany and you are trying to redeem it in Australia later, it won’t work.
What you can do in that case is to use a VPN and set the location of your device to Germany.
Now, you will be able to redeem the Gift card without having any issues.
2. Delete The Cache Of Google Playstore
If you are in the same country from where the gift card has been purchased and still you aren’t able to redeem it then there could be some kind of issue with the cache file of PlayStore.
Cache Files are notorious for storing junk and corrupted files.
In that case, you can easily solve this issue by deleting the ceviche files of PlaytStore.
Clear Cache for Android
- Go to Settings on your device.
- Open Apps.
- Select Manage Apps.
- Navigate to PlayStore and tap on it.

Clear Cache for iPhone
- Go to iPhone settings.
- Go to General.
- Find PlayStore App and click on that.
- Tap on the Offload App button.

3. Restart PlayStore
Another fix that you can try if none of the fixes above works for you is to restart the PlayStore App.
To do that go to the Phone Settings and then go to Apps and open PlayStore from there.
After that navigate to Force Stop and tap on that.
Once you are done stopping PlayStore, now go back and tap on the icon of PlayStore again to open it.
Go to redeem the gift card and see whether you are now able to redeem it.
