There are times when you accidentally open a message thread to which you were planning to reply later.
For situations like these, the iPhone offers you the feature to mark selected messages as unread.
This saves you a lot of time and trouble, and you can always head back to the message in your inbox and reply to them.
For your convenience, the messages that you mark as unread appear with a blue dot beside the name of the person, which makes it simpler for you to head back to the messages that you have marked for later replies.
