RTGS Full Form

The Full Form of RTGS is Real Time Gross Settlement

If you have to transfer a large number of funds and can’t wait for a long time, then RTGS will be a good option for you. So we can define RTGS as the process of transferring a large amount in a quick interval of time i.e. transfers of the amount could take place as soon as we give the command.

Real-Time – Transaction at the exact time during the processing of the request.

Gross Settlement – Settlement of payments on an individual (one to one basis.)

Three central banks agreed to provide this service in 1985. After 2005, 90 central banks started the same service.
