A 45-year-old woman named Nicola Bulley has been missing for 10 days in St Michael’s on Wyre, Lancashire.
The police believe she may have fallen into the River Wyre and a search is ongoing with the help of mountain rescue, sniffer dogs, helicopters, and a private diving team from Specialist Group International (SGI).
The founder of SGI, Peter Faulding, spoke with Bulley’s partner Paul Ansell and expressed his thoughts and condolences for the family during this difficult time.
Faulding said that he is confident that if Nicola Bulley is in the river, they will find her using their high-tech sonar equipment.
He added that if they do not find her in the next three to four days, he is confident she is not in that stretch of the river.
The police said that SGI’s assistance in the search was accepted after speaking with Nicola Bulley’s family.
A family friend, Emma White, said she hoped the specialist team could bring answers, and the family has been focusing on the acts of kindness shown to them rather than speculation.
The last images of Nicola Bulley were captured on doorbell footage on the day she went missing, showing her loading her car and taking her children to school before going for a riverside walk.
Her dog and phone were found at a riverside bench 25 minutes later, and there is no evidence of any third-party involvement or anything untoward happening to her.
The police have criticized online abuse and speculation regarding the case and have stated that they are open to new information.
