Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak Monster List

Monster Hunter Rise sunbreak

The whole series of newly introduced Sunbreak Monster List adds outstanding thrill to the game, which is making it difficult for even experienced players to tackle the game.

We have mentioned all the potential monsters that you will encounter according to their rank, along with certain specific skills which are unique to each monster and other potential status effects you would have to look out for.

With that said, let’s dive into the list of Sunbreak Monsters.

Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak Monster List

1. Daimyo Hermitaur

First off, judging by the looks, Daimyo Hermitaur resembles closely to a giant crab that is brandishing its pincers like no other.

One of the many unique features of the Daimyo Hermitaur is that it has a skull at its back.

You will encounter Daimyo Hermitaur at the very beginning of the game, and it is advised to watch out for its counterattack and water gun attack from its mouth.

2. Blood Orange Bishaten

You will be able to spot Blood Orange Bishaten in your third urgent quest. Blood Orange Bishaten is famous for throwing fire bombs, but beware when a fire bomb hits you.

You’ll have to roll on the ground to extinguish the fire. The two main attacks which set Blood Orange Bishaten apart from the regular Bishaten are that it smashes the pinecones on the ground to create an explosion, and it throws a bunch of pinecones on the ground and ignites them to create a barrier.

3. Garangolm

you will encounter Garangolm in your last urgent MR 2 quest. The Garangolm is otherwise also referred to as one of the “three lords”, and it is a volcanic gorilla for a reason.

Garangolm is massive in size, and it takes full advantage of its armor by blasting it mid-fight, creating an explosion in the air.

4. Shogun Ceanataur

Shogun Ceanataur is yet another hermit crab that possesses especially strong claws, which you might want to stay away from.

Make sure to look out for the sudden attacks from under the ground because Shogun Ceanataur too can burrow like the Hermitaur.

But unlike the Hermitaur, it’s easier to break the claws of Shogun Ceanataur. You will encounter the Shogun Ceanataur in the MR 3 quests.

5. Aurora Somnacanth

Having similar features to an aquatic siren, the Aurora Somnacanth will sneak around during the first urgent quest for MR 3.

The ice blast attack is unique to its features, and it can create a freezing fog arc that will explode gradually.

It is advised to carry nulberries to calm down the cold effect of the attacks.

6. Lunagaron

Lunagaron is quite an interesting creature because it is not your regular kind of werewolf.

The Lunagaron is already a wolf which turns into a werewolf when it howls.

Lunagaron can be found lurking around in MR 3’s last urgent quest, and it is one of the “three lords”.

When the Lunagaron shifts its form, it can grow huge claws which it uses to slash the player, so definitely watch out for that.

7. Astalos

This insect is a power-packed thunder monster that can throw electric AoEs your way by flapping its wings.

You’ll also have to watch out for its tail which can zap you in seconds, and the crest on its head, which can easily slash you.

You will be able to fight this monster in your MR 4 urgent quest.

8. Seregios

Unlike the Astalos, the Seregios is quite a forgettable wyvern that uses its spin attack quite a lot, directly aiming at your legs, making it hard to dodge the attacks.

The armor set of the Seregios is definitely unique from the rest because it will sharpen your weapon if you are able to dodge its attack. You will be able to fight Seregios in the Mr 4 quests.

9. Magma Almudron

As the name suggests, Magma Almudron comes with fire powers and quite like the Seregios you will also spot this one during the MR 4 quests.

Beware of the underground attack of the Magma Almudron before it comes to the surface and lands on its tail because it will stimulate a massive explosion.

Spot Magma Almudron in your MR 4 quests.

10. Espinas

One of the unique facts about the attacks related to Espinas is that it charges thrice at its opponent back to back, which can be quite frustrating and hard to escape.

It is suggested to have some herbal medicine or stun resistance handy while fighting with Espinas because even if you manage to dodge the attacks, you will still be poisoned anyway.

Find him during your MR 4 quests.

11. Gore Magala

An interesting fact about the Gore Magala’s attack is that once you get hit with the “frenzy virus”, it’ll start off the purple bar on your health status.

Keep hitting the monster with as much strength as you can possibly summon in order to stop the “frenzy virus” from spreading.

You can fight Gore Magala in one of your MR 4 quests.

12. Pyre Rakna-Kadaki

The attacks of Pyre Rakna-Kadaki are quite similar to the other Rakna-Kadaki, which closely resembles a spider.

Make sure to stay alert to the AoE explosion that it creates by throwing a bunch of stuff in front of it. But Pyre Rakna-Kadaki is definitely easier to fight, given that you can attack its web sack and cause a lot of damage.

You’ll get to deal with Pyre Rakna-Kadaki in your MR 4 quests.

13. Malzeno

The Malzeno is the “third lord”, which is commonly known for its three specific attacks, i.e. creating tremors, qurio attacks, and breathing fire.

Once you are hit with the qurio attack, your health will start reducing as Malzeno start feeding on you.

But, the most important feature of Malzeno is its armor which turns on the “Blood Rite” skill which lets you heal the broken parts.

You will deal with the Malzeno in the MR 4 last urgent quest.

14. Shagaru Magala

Once you have dealt with the Gore Magala, Shagaru Magala becomes relatively easy to deal with because it uses the same “frenzy virus”, which you have to keep fighting to avoid its spreading.

While you are at it, watch out for those purple beams of explosions and its shoulder barges. You’ll deal with Shagaru Magala ol’ dragon in your first urgent MR 5 quest.

15. Gaismagorm

You’ll have to bring out the big guns known as the dragonators to weaken Gaismagorm, and defeating the Gaismagorm in the last urgent MR 5 quest means you have officially encountered and fought all the monsters in the game.

It’s best to look out for the rubble that Gaismagorm dragon throws into the ground because they will definitely try to suck you in.

16. Afflicted Monsters

You will encounter Afflicted monsters after fighting your battle with the Gaismaagorm.

These are your previously fought monsters that have been infected by the qurio moths that feed on life.

This makes Afflicted monsters stronger than ever, but defeating them will earn you rare weapons and materials which you will use to craft later.

17. Furious Rajang

With Furious Rajang, you will fight during the MR 5 urgent quest, which closely resembles an ape.

The best course of action for Furious Rajang would be to deal damage to its head and dodge the AoE attacks as swiftly as possible.

The furious Rajang monster is always in a state of vengeance, and it can launch a series of projectiles from the air.
