How to Fix Palworld Memory Leak Issue

Palworld is a multiplayer open-world survival crafting game where players can befriend and collect mysterious creatures called “Pals.”

However, the game has been facing several issues with CPU and memory leaks, causing crashes and lag.

This type of bug is common when a program fails to release unneeded memory, gradually diminishing available resources.

In this blog post, we will discuss how to fix the Palworld memory leak issue.

How To Fix Palworld Memory Leak Issue

1. Regularly Restart Palworld Game And Server

A simple yet effective fix is to regularly restart both the Palworld game and the server if you’re playing on a dedicated server.

This can help reduce resource usage and prevent crashes and lag.

2. Use Memory-Checking Module

GTXGaming has enabled a memory-checking module that warns users if they are using too much RAM. This can help alleviate lag and reduce memory usage.

3. Transfer Save Data

If you’re experiencing memory leaks when transferring save data, there is a modding tool being worked on to allow you to transfer save data from a local save converted to dedicated.

4. Avoid Using Memory Reset Drug

There’s an item in the game called the “Memory Reset Drug” which can be used to reset your character.

However, this also reduces your capture power if you’ve already upgraded it, and there’s no way to go back to it. We recommend avoiding using this item until PocketPair fixes this.
