Palworld is a popular survival game that allows players to create their own dedicated servers.
In this blog post, we will guide you through the process of setting up a dedicated server for Palworld, including the necessary settings and configurations.
Whether you choose to host the server yourself or rent a server from a third-party provider, you’ll be able to customize your gaming experience and host your own private server.
Palworld Dedicated Server Settings
After buying Palworld on Steam, you should have access to the Palworld Dedicated Server tool in your library.
Running this tool and selecting “Play Palworld Dedicated Server” will set up a private server, while “Open and start as a community server” will make the server available to the public.
For private servers, players that want to join must enter your IP address and port number (default is 8211) at the bottom of the screen.
For public servers, simply select the “Community Servers” tab in the dedicated server menu
To set up a dedicated server for Palworld, you have two main options: hosting it yourself or renting a server.
If you choose to host it yourself, you can use the Palworld Dedicated Server tool available in your Steam library.
This tool allows you to set up a private server or make the server available to the public. The server settings for a dedicated server are configured via a file called “PalWorldSettings.ini,” which is found in the “\steamapps\common\PalServer\Pal\Saved\Config\WindowsServer” folder.
This file allows you to customize various world options for your dedicated server.
Additionally, you can create a batch file named PalworldServer.bat to configure your Palworld game server to your liking.
The server requirements include Windows 10/11, Server 2016/2019/2022, a 64-Bit Quad Core processor, up to 4GB memory, and 12GB disk space for the install folder.
It’s important to note that Xbox Palworld players currently cannot make use of dedicated servers, and the game is limited to a maximum of 4 players during multiplayer. If you prefer not to host the server yourself, you can consider renting a Palworld server from a third-party provider.
