KiK limits users from sending unlimited messages.
There is a fixed amount of messages that you can send per session when using your KiK application.
This limit is set to 1000 for iPhone users and 600 for android users.
The limit is active for 48 hours and when you have exceeded this limit you will not be able to send any messages anymore until that chat session expires in 48 hours.
Rather you will get a 429 error message in your KiK account.
What Causes Kik Chat Limit Reached?
When you have used up all 1000 messages for iPhone and 600 for android in your KiK account then you will not be able to send any messages anymore.
Remember that these message quotas are for 48 hours.
So if you end up finishing your quota within a day you will have to wait another full day before it can get replenished.
After your quota gets filled again you can send people messages in KiK, however, you can try a few solutions in the means time while you wait to check whether you can bypass the KiK chat limit.
How To Bypass Kik Chat Limit?
You can not bypass the KiK chat limit once you have hit that for your chat session.
It is impossible to do so, however there are few solutions that you can try if you are not sure that you have actually hit the maximum number of chat messages for that session.

You can certainly wait but you can also try a few simple solutions to check whether you have really reached the KiK chat limit.

If you see the error code 429, then you have certainly reached the chat limit and will have to wait for 48 hours as there is no other way through which you can send the message in KiK other than that once you hit the chat limit.
1. Clear The Cache Files
The solution that you should try is to clear the Cache files of your KiK application.
Cache files contain many junk files which can cause your app to not function properly.
For Android
- Go to Settings on your device.
- Open Apps.
- Select Manage Apps.
- Navigate to KiK and tap on it.
- Tap on Clear data or Clear Cache.
For iPhone
- Go to iPhone settings.
- Go to General.
- Find KiK App and click on that.
- Tap on iPhone Storage.
- Tap on the Offload App button.
- Again Reinstall the KiK app.
2. Wait For Sometime
KiK can be facing some kind of system issue or the server might be down.
In both cases, it is best that you wait for some time until the chat session expires and then try to open KiK again and see if that has solved the issue.
